Provide a reason to stay right up front 

Your customers and prospects look for an offer---a reason to stay when they click on your home page or an entry page.   

In the upper right hand section of your site, you must give the visitor a visual or copy that captures their eye.  For instance, a special product or service; an auto-home account discount percentage or average savings figure; a sign-on for your latest edition of your online newsletter; a community event that you are sponsoring.  Something that creates interactivity so that the visitor wants to drill down further into your site.  Something that conveys a sense of urgency.  You get the picture!
