THE LISTENING POST: Customer preference for direct mail contacts

The April 2010 issue of Deliver® magazine reports that a 6% increase in the percentage of consumers who prefer to be contacted by direct mail by marketers with which they have an existing relationship; and a 5% decrease in the percentage who prefer an e-mail contact. The report reflects changes over the last two years.

We recommend Deliver to agents who are active direct mail users.  It features excellent articles on direct mail trends, success stories with specifics, and creative ideas for mailings.  Keep in mind that the publication is a vehicle for the United States Postal Service®, so there IS a bias toward direct mailings.
