What the heck does that mean?   

IBM built its reputation by promoting an attitude that any service problem was an opportunity to demonstrate how good the company was.   

You can “IBM all claims” by immediately showing empathy for the customer and his loss, by explaining what is going to happen in the claims process, then handling the claim promptly. 

 

Going above and beyond 

Most agents and companies promote “prompt and fair claims service.”   But how many show empathy?  How many monitor the claim from start to settlement?  How many track the claim performance of the carrier that is involved and keep a report card on results (one they can share with the carrier)?  

 

Generate word of mouth advertising

Claims handling is where the rubber hits the road; where the promise on paper becomes reality.  Superior performance and caring by your agency will produce 10 to 15, maybe more, powerful word of mouth ads for you.
