Ask these questions and open up new business 

Here is a sample checklist.  Asking questions that create conversation about risks is a most powerful sales approach! 

 

Small Business Insurance Needs Analysis Questions 

 

. If a key employee were disabled for a lengthy period, would her/his income continue? 

. If you or a key employee died suddenly, would it create a financial hardship for your company, even put it out of business? 

. If your business was discontinued for a lengthy period due to a fire or other disaster, would it be able to re-open or would it be in danger of going out of business? 

. Is your company fully protected against property losses and lawsuits? 

. Do you have a buy-sell agreement in writing? 

. Do you have a tax-advantaged plan that provides retirement income for you? 

. Do you have a written will that is up-to-date? 

. Do you have a plan to relieve your estate of any personally-endorsed debt? 

. In the last eighteen months have you reviewed any plans you have set up to provide for your family if you die or are permanently disabled?
