Classic McGraw-Hill ad says it all

One of my all-time favorite ads was created by McGraw-Hill Magazines many moons ago.  Today, its message is as fresh and provocative as it was when first published.  A stern looking gentleman sitting in an office chair stares at you.  His look is definitely an “I’m from Missouri” look.  The copy reads:

I don’t know who you are.

I don’t know your company.

I don’t know your company’s product.

I don’t know what your company stands for.

I don’t your company’s customers.

I don’t know your company’s record.

I don’t know your company’s reputation.

Now---what was it your wanted to sell me?
