Agency Development Gem: Customer Satisfaction

How to create a Customer Bill of Rights

Here’s a sure-fire way to make your agency stand out from all your competitors: create a Bill of Rights for customers that you and your agency employees stand by and deliver on; and then promote it aggressively online, in sales literature, and in advertisements. We know a Customer Bill of Rights is an effective way to build your business.  We have worked with agencies to develop and promote them.

Developing your agency Bill of Rights

The development process begins with a survey of customers to determine what agency policies they consider of prime importance. Once collected, share the information with your employees.  Then ask them to submit their own recommendations. From the input, develop a final statement of policy---your Customer Bill of Rights.

One way to frame statements in your Bill of Rights

. You have the right to fair, prompt claims service

. You have the right to have an annual review of your coverages.

et cetera, et cetera…

Your Bill of Rights is a set of promises

Your policy statements are commitments.  Commitments TO your customers; commitments BY your employees.  Review them every year.  Promote them with vigor. They will help you not only stand out, but also write and retain more business.
